The club meets on the first Tuesday and third Mondays each month at 7.30 pm at the George Hotel, Devonshire Street, Penrith to plan our fund raising activities and make awards and donations.
We set great store by fun and friendship and our activities include barbeques, bowls, lunches/evening meals and outings to local places of interest. There is also our our annual Charter Anniversary and President’s Handover Lunch/Evening events. Lions clubs in the UK are organised in regional districts, ours being District 105CN which includes part of the Midlands and the Northwest. Each year clubs meet at a District Convention for organisational matters and of course to have an active social time!
Want to know more? Please contact our Secretary (see above). There will be no pressure to join us but if you become interested both yourself and the club meet to discuss membership. Being a Lion opens up a whole new world of friends. We all have a sense of involvement in our community and get a buzz from helping people less fortunate than ourselves. Above all we have fun being Lions.
