The club has a variety of activities over the Christmas period.
The club’s Santa and his helpers visit many streets of the town to tell the children that he is on his way! During six extremely cold evenings Penrith Lions transported Santa round the main estates in Penrith where he spoke to the children and asked what they wanted for Christmas and also distributed sweets to the children and their parents. During the visits we raise funds for Lions charitable causes this Christmas.
Despite the difficulties caused by Covid-19, members managed to erect the town’s Christmas Tree, here’s how!
For many years the club organises a postal service for two weeks prior to the Christmas period, raising funds for our charities.
